Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD degree in genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology, or plant science.
  • Advanced knowledge in molecular biology, biochemistry, and plant physiology.
  • Experience in genomic techniques, including RNA-seq and RNA-protein interactions (advantageous).
  • Good publication record.
  • Experience in teaching and student guidance.
  • Highly organized and capable of independent and team work.

Job Description:

  • Investigate roles of long noncoding RNAs, RNA-binding proteins, and miRNAs in thermoresilience.
  • Study interplays between RNA recognition, sequence motifs, and structure.
  • Examine the impact of RNA-binding proteins on splicing of in vivo target transcripts.
  • Explore biotechnological applications for manipulating splicing patterns in crop plants.
  • Conduct bioinformatics analysis of iCLIP data.
  • Investigate functions of RNA-binding proteins in translational regulation and stress granule formation.
