About- The Central University of Karnataka (CUK) has been established by an Act of the Parliament (No. 3 of 2009) at Kalaburagi, Karnataka. It is one of the 16 new Central Universities established by the Government of India during the UGC XI Plan Period to address to the concerns of ‘equity and access’ and to increase the access to quality higher education by people in less educationally developed districts which have a Graduate Enrolment Ratio of less than the national average of 11%.

Eligibility/Qualification–
Medical microbiologist/Research associate /Research scientist
Medical
Essential qualifications:
MD/DNB microbiology from MCI recognized three college Institute or MMBS from MCI recognized Medical college/Institute with 3
years research experience.
Desired qualifications:
- a) Knowledge of computer applications/data management
- b) Two years of R&D experience in a relevant subject
OR
Non-medical
Essential qualifications:
MSc. in microbiology/virology/ biotechnology/molecular biology/life sciences) from a recognized institute/university
Desired qualifications
a) PhD in microbiology/virology/biotechnology/molecular biology/life sciences) from a recognized institute/university
b) Experience in the ICMR/DHR/IDSP/CSIR/DBT or other relevant project in medical or Govt. institution.
Note:
a) candidate with Ph.D. or research experience in the relevant area will be given preference
b) candidate with prior work experience of CoVID-19 testing experience will be preferred

Contractual Salary per month fixed in Indian rupees- Consolidate Rs. 65000/- per month
