Research Associate: Thorne Lab at Imperial College London, UK

Imperial Junior Research Fellowships 2019 UK for Early-Career Scientist

Research Associate: Thorne Lab: We have an exciting opportunity for a Post-Doctoral Research Associate to join The Thorne Lab at Imperial College London. Our lab studies the interactions between emerging viruses and the intracellular innate immune system, the body’s frontline defense against infection. Our goal is to understand how viruses overcome this defense at the molecular level, which is crucial for understanding virus transmission, pandemic potential, and pathogenesis. We also aim to discover novel therapeutic interventions to limit virus replication and inflammation. Currently, our focus is on how SARS-CoV-2 manipulates host gene expression through direct interaction with epigenetic and transcriptional regulators.
