Eligibility/Qualification:
- Completed doctoral degree in ecology, environmental sciences, or related field.
- Research experience in biodiversity research, biotic interactions, biogeography, biological invasions, mountain ecology, or functional ecology
- Demonstrated relevant publications in peer-reviewed journals
- Experience in designing ecological studies
- Proficiency in botanical knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of data analysis and statistical modeling using R software
- Excellent command of written and spoken English, as evidenced by a list of international publications
- Strong communication, collaboration, and team skills
Job Description: As a Research Associate in Vegetation Ecology, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting research within the existing research fields of the working group, with the potential to bring complementary expertise.
- Participation in research platforms, particularly MIREN or BEF-China.
- Publishing research results in international peer-reviewed journals.
- Securing third-party funding for independent research projects.
- Opportunities for further qualifications, including habilitation.
- Teaching in bachelor’s and master’s programs (4 SWS), including thesis supervision. English-language teaching is possible.
- Co-supervision of doctoral researchers.
