Research Engineer (M/F) Position: The Institut de Physique et Chimie des Matériaux de Strasbourg (IPCMS-UMR 7504) is seeking a motivated Research Engineer to join our team. This position is aimed at developing new organic dyes for use in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs).

Research Area:

Development and characterisation of organic dyes for utilization in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs).

Eligibility/Qualifications:

  • A PhD in Chemical Sciences / Molecular Chemistry (or an equivalent qualification).
  • Solid experience in organic synthesis and spectroscopy of photo-active systems.
  • High motivation and ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (B2 level required).

Job Description:

The successful candidate will undertake the following key tasks:

  1. Design, synthesise, and characterise organic dye molecules.
  2. Characterise their photophysical properties in both solution and solid states.
  3. Improve synthesis procedures and techniques.
  4. Conduct NMR characterisation of the organic dyes.
  5. Present results clearly and effectively to team members and collaborators.
  6. Engage in collaborative discussions both internally and externally.
