Location: University of Warwick Campus, Coventry

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • A PhD in a related field is desirable.
  • Experience in at least one of the following areas:
    • Interacting particle systems for Monte Carlo methods and rare event simulation
    • Statistical physics for transport modelling
    • Branching structures and/or stochastic modelling
  • Candidates should demonstrate versatility and provide evidence of their ability to work in these areas.

Job Description: The successful candidate will be involved in developing predictive mathematical models and software prototypes for applications in energy, healthcare, and space exploration nuclear industries. Specific research themes include:

  • Mathematical representations of Boltzmann Transport Equation solutions
  • Correlation and path decomposition in spatial branching
