Research Fellow – Alkaline Electrolyser: The International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL) in Braga, Portugal, is seeking a qualified Research Fellow (Postdoc) to join their Nanochemistry Research Group under the Moving2Neutrality Agenda of the PRR framework. The successful candidate will contribute to advancing fundamental chemistry, catalysis, and materials science in energy and environmental challenges, focusing on alkaline electrolyser technology.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Natural Sciences or Engineering.
  • High technical capability and expertise in alkaline electrolysis systems.
  • Experience in electrode fabrication and knowledge of electrolyser components.
  • Proven track record in alkaline electrolysis and hands-on lab experience.
  • Attention to detail, excellent teamwork, writing, organization, and communication skills.

Job Description:
The Research Fellow will be responsible for:

  • Conducting a 5 kW PEM electrolyser demo.
  • Fabricating electrodes, assembling, and testing the electrolyser.
  • Researching, analyzing, and optimizing the electrolyser’s performance.
  • Testing durability, reliability, and performance.
  • Preparing documentation, detailed instructions, and protocols.
