Location: Monash Medical Centre

Duration: 12-month fixed-term appointment with the possibility of extension

Remuneration: $75,115 – $101,944 pa Level A (plus 17% employer superannuation)

Summary: Monash University, a world top 50 University, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Fellow to join their team in the Translational Antigen Discovery Laboratory. The successful candidate will work on the development of vaccines for breast cancers by overseeing and delivering high-quality research services, including the development of immunopeptidomics, proteomics, T-cell immunology, using Flow Cytometry and LC-MS/MS. This is a 12-month fixed-term appointment with the possibility of extension.

Eligibility/Qualification: The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. or equivalent in immunology or a related field, experience working with proteomics workflows, cell cultures, flow cytometry, and bioinformatics, well-developed planning and organizational skills, and the ability to solve complex problems.

Job Description: As a Research Fellow, the appointee will be responsible for performing a range of significant and complex research activities that play a critical role in supporting the delivery of specific program outcomes funded by a grant. This includes developing operating procedures, data analysis, research administration, budget planning, while ensuring a compliant and safe research environment. The successful candidate will also oversee and undertake the development of immunopeptidomics, proteomics, T-cell immunology, using Flow Cytometry and LC-MS/MS.
