Research Area:
The research will focus on the application of metagenomic methods in NHS diagnostic labs to improve pathogen detection and host immunity profiling.
Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD/DPhil in life sciences (molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology, virology, or related area).
- Experience in NGS wet lab workflows (particularly Nanopore and/or Illumina).
- Familiarity with molecular biology methods (PCR, qPCR/dPCR, nucleic acid extraction, cloning).
- Desirable: Experience in hybridization-capture NGS workflows and development of NGS protocols.
