Eligibility/Qualification
- Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Biological Sciences, Synthetic Biology, Microbiology, Systems Biology, Bioinformatics/Computational Biology, Biochemistry, or related fields.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in microbial strain engineering, cloning, and genome editing.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in microbial cultivation and mass spectrometry.
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Matlab, R, or Python) and statistical analysis related to omics datasets.
- Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in high-throughput methodologies and biochemical/molecular methods.
- Interest in mathematical modeling of metabolic and regulatory networks.
Job Description
As a Research Fellow, you will:
- Perform genome engineering of Streptomyces strains utilizing CRISPR and other methods.
- Design engineered strains for improved natural product yields.
- Conduct high-throughput metabolomics analysis and characterize engineered strains through various omics techniques.
- Collaborate with postdoctoral fellows and graduate students, mentor undergraduates, and assist in manuscript and grant preparation.
