Research Fellow at University of Sussex: The Sussex Drug Discovery Centre (SDDC) is seeking a talented scientist to join the Drug Discovery team for an exciting one-year project in collaboration with Omaze-Blood Cancer UK and the University of Oxford. The successful candidate will contribute to the emerging area of oncology drug discovery, working under the supervision of Prof Erika Mancini and Prof John Spencer.

Eligibility/Qualification: Applicants must hold a PhD in a biological or physical science, with experience in molecular biology, structure-based drug design, biophysics, and macromolecular crystallography.
Job Description: The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary environment, engaging in high-throughput X-ray crystallography, fragment-based screening, and structure-based drug design. Responsibilities include crystallisation, structure determination, and biophysical analysis of protein-ligand complexes. This position offers access to state-of-the-art facilities, including crystallisation facilities, X-ray sources, Cryo-electron microscopy, NMR, Mass Spectrometry, and a Biophysical suite.
