This role focuses on exploring the cellular and molecular mechanisms that govern the storage and release of fatty acids in adipocytes related to obesity-related metabolic disorders.

Eligibility/Qualification
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor and/or Masterās degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- A PhD (or nearing completion) in a relevant area or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience & Skills:
- Expertise in cell signalling, receptor pharmacology, and/or fluorescence microscopy is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex information clearly.
- Experience with mammalian cell culture and molecular biology techniques (cloning, transfection, etc.).
- Enthusiasm for interdisciplinary experimental research and teamwork.
Job Description
The successful applicant will investigate the role of free fatty acid receptors 2 and 4 (FFA2/4) in adipocytes with a focus on their intracellular location and function related to lipid droplets. Responsibilities will include:
- Developing research objectives and proposals.
- Conducting cell signalling and advanced microscopy studies.
- Analyzing and interpreting data.
- Writing publications and participating in research seminars.
- Supervising students and contributing to departmental activities.
- Engaging in grant writing and public engagement activities.
