The project involves enhancing existing evolutionary models and developing new phylogenetic inference methods using extensive publicly available datasets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and conducting research related to cancer genomes.
  • Writing and communicating research findings in scientific papers and conferences.
  • Collaborating with a team of researchers to push the boundaries of current methodologies in cancer evolutionary research.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • A strong research background with a PhD (or close to completion) in computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science, or related fields involving substantial computing and mathematical/statistical modeling.
  • Desirable experience in genomics, evolutionary biology, cancer biology, or population genetics.
  • Essential programming experience.
