Eligibility/Qualification
Candidates must have a Ph.D., equivalent qualification, or relevant subject area expertise in cell biology, particularly in live cell microscopy and/or molecular biology with cell lines. Additional experience in microfabrication, coding, and computational modeling is desirable.
Job Description
The research fellow will join Robert Insall’s group, focusing on understanding the signals that guide immune cells as they migrate from blood vessels into tissues. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and generating haematopoietic cell cultures.
- Developing and performing microscopy-based assays.
- Collaborating with dry lab members to integrate experimental results with models.
- Potential involvement in 3D microprinting and device design & manufacture.
- Training in coding and computational modeling if appropriate.
The position is full-time and offers hybrid working with at least 50-60% on-site presence. The initial funding for this role is secured until 30/11/2026, with possibilities for extension.
