Eligibility/Qualification
- A PhD in biochemistry, cell biology, or a related field (or working towards it).
- Proven knowledge of common biochemical and cell biology techniques.
- A keen interest in molecular mechanisms and membrane trafficking pathways.
- Desirable: Knowledge of protein structure and structural techniques, particularly cryo-EM and tomography.
Job Description
The main purpose of this position is to carry out original research focused on biochemical reconstitution and in situ cryo-tomography related to membrane trafficking. Responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering research to reproducible and publishable standards.
- Maintaining a shared lab book.
- Regularly interacting with the supervisor, team members, and collaborators.
- Contributing to the supervision of PhD and Master’s students.
- Presenting findings at various meetings and conferences.
- Participating in training opportunities.
