Eligibility / Qualification
Essential:
- PhD (or about to obtain within 3 months of employment start) in Microbiology, Pharmacy, Bioinformatics, or related biological/biomedical discipline.
- Strong research experience in bioinformatics, especially analysis of large genomic datasets with associated metadata.
- Proven experience in:
- Whole genome and metagenomic sequencing data analysis.
- Molecular microbiology (e.g., high-throughput nucleic acid extraction, qPCR).
- Aseptic techniques, microbial culturing, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, microbial identification, and pathogen handling.
- A publication record appropriate to career stage.
Desirable:
- Additional expertise in microbial pathogenesis and infection biology.
- Experience with collaborative, interdisciplinary projects.
