Eligibility/Qualification
- A PhD in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biomedical Science, or a closely allied discipline, or have submitted your PhD prior to the appointment start date.
- A strong background in haemostasis and thrombosis research is advantageous.
- Ability to manage competing demands effectively and work collaboratively within a large team.
Job Description
As a Research Fellow, you will:
- Investigate the new structure of fibrin and its implications for blood clot formation.
- Explore the impact of fibrin films on thrombi, including the effects of anticoagulants and antiplatelet therapies.
- Examine the relationship between phospholipid exposure on cells and film formation.
- Analyze the influence of blood flow cessation on fibrin film formation on thrombi.
- Collaborate with colleagues studying other aspects of blood clot structure and function.
