Research Fellow in Politics: The University of Southampton invites applications for two Research Fellows in Politics and International Relations to contribute to the expansion of the Department of Politics and International Relations (PAIR). The positions aim to strengthen the research, education, and knowledge exchange culture, supporting ongoing projects in areas such as democratic governance, political psychology, global health, migration, and more.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • An emerging national and international reputation.
  • Publications in internationally leading academic journals.
  • Experience in research grant writing and funding seeking strategies.
  • Commitment to knowledge exchange translating research into practice.
  • Willingness to engage in collaborative grant applications in research areas of strength.

Job Description: The Research Fellow will:

  • Contribute to planning, developing, and writing research funding applications.
  • Collaborate with other researchers and research groups within the Department.
  • Engage in grant applications in research areas such as migration, global health, gender, democracy, political psychology, democratic innovations, and conflict and security.
  • Publish in internationally leading academic journals.
  • Participate in knowledge exchange translating research into practice.
  • Foster a collegiate, supportive, and inclusive culture of research and education.
