Research Area

Eligibility/Qualification

  • A PhD (or close to completion) in high-speed aerodynamics or significant industrial experience in the relevant discipline.
  • Proven experience in leading research with a track record of publications in high-quality journals.
  • Hands-on experience in experimental aerodynamics and compressible-flow rig design.
  • Programming skills in languages such as Python, Matlab, C, C++, FORTRAN, or LabVIEW.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and collaborative skills.

Description

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead and deliver experimental research within the new high-speed propulsion test facility.
  • Design, execute, and analyze complex aerodynamic experiments.
  • Contribute to project management and industry-facing deliverables.
  • Publish high-quality research outputs and support MSc/PhD supervision and funding proposals.
  • Collaborate with academic colleagues, industrial partners, and students to drive innovation in high-speed propulsion technologies.
