Research Fellow (Photo(electro)catalysis): The School of Materials Science and Engineering at NTU is seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to join our interdisciplinary team focused on cutting-edge research in renewable energy harvesting and photo(electro)catalytic systems. Job Description

The Research Fellow will be responsible for:

  • Developing photo(electro)catalytic (PEC) systems, focusing on artificial leaves and nanoparticle photocatalysts for water splitting and CO2 reduction.
  • Setting up a state-of-the-art PEC characterization platform, including a solar light simulator and gas chromatograph.
  • Establishing protocols for gas and liquid product quantification, and benchmarking devices under outdoor conditions.
  • Collaborating with team members and external partners on sustainable technologies.
  • Mentoring junior group members and producing high-quality research reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research projects with team members to meet deliverables.
  • Develop photo(electro)catalytic characterization setups and product analysis protocols.
  • Maintain equipment and liaise with suppliers.
  • Contribute to innovative research ideas and maintain organizational skills.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in perovskite device fabrication or nanoparticle synthesis is essential.
  • Desirable expertise in photo(electro)catalytic experiments and product analysis.
  • Competency in data analysis and manuscript drafting.
