Eligibility/Qualification:

Education and Experience:
  • PhD degree in Physics, Physical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
  • Knowledge of quantum computational models
  • Research experience with linear and/or nonlinear optics
  • Experience with quantum error correction and error mitigation

Job Description:

The successful candidate will engage in theoretical and computational investigation under project EPIQUE, focusing on scalable photonic quantum computation, near-term models of quantum computation suitable for photonic platforms, and the characterization of resources for photonic quantum computation. Duties will include numerical simulation of error-correcting codes, characterizing photonic resources, developing device validation techniques, and devising proof-of-concept experiments for quantum computation and information processing tasks.
