Eligibility/Qualification
- Essential Criteria:
- PhD qualified in biostatistics, statistics, or a related field (or pending results).
- Proficient in using R, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Experience working with clinical data.
- Proven track record of developing research programmes and methodologies in a relevant field.
- Evidence of publishing peer-reviewed outputs in high-quality journals.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Desirable Criteria:
- Interest or experience in eating disorders or general mental health.
- Familiarity with Trusted Research Environments for data analysis.
- Knowledge or experience in target trial emulation.
- Experience in teaching or supervision.
Job Description
The successful candidate will join the Eating Disorders Clinical Research Network (EDCRN), which is a collaborative initiative co-led by King’s College London and the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. Responsibilities include:
- Developing data analysis pipelines for the core dataset that encompasses eating disorder symptoms, treatment outcomes, demographics, risk factors, and physical health markers.
- Conducting proof-of-principal emulated clinical trial analyses, assessing treatment group outcomes, and comparing existing treatments with novel modalities.
- Collaborating with EDCRN team members and leveraging external data sources, such as data from the Eating Disorders Genetics Initiative UK.
- Proposing and leading original analytical projects, contributing to an extensive research initiative aimed at enhancing the understanding of eating disorders.
This is a full-time position with a fixed-term contract available from 1st December 2024 until 29th October 2026.
