Eligibility/Qualification

  • Must be a national of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State (few exceptions possible annually).
  • PhD required by the application deadline (or to be obtained within six months).
  • No more than 6 years of research experience post-PhD.
  • Must have never held a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
  • Proficient in English or French.

Job Description

As a Research Fellow, you will:

  • Conduct research in experimental physics within a CERN research group.
  • Contribute to CERN’s experimental physics programme using large-scale scientific instruments.
  • Collaborate with physicists and engineers in studies of particle interactions.
  • Develop and pursue your own research interests within the Fellowship framework.
