Scholarship Description:
PhD Position in Interpretable Medical Imaging Classification
The position is for a 4-year PhD program, with the student spending up to 2 years at the University of Turin and the remaining time at the University of Beira Interior. The goal is to drive innovations in the field of medical imaging interpretability.
Eligibility: Prospective candidates should have a BSc or MSc degree in computer science or related fields and possess the following qualifications:
- Strong academic record with an excellent M.Sc. degree (or equivalent) in computer science, applied mathematics, or electrical/biomedical engineering.
- Expertise in medical image analysis, machine learning, computer vision, pattern recognition, or XAI.
- Experience with a deep learning framework, preferably PyTorch.
- Research experience in computer vision, machine learning, or image processing is desirable.
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals or conferences related to the topic are a bonus.
