Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Preferred qualifications include academic or professional experience in bioinformatics and computational biology, proficiency in English, and relevant technical skills.

Job Description: The selected candidate will work on the DURABLE project, focusing on identifying and evaluating targets for compounds with anti-viral activity. The role involves conservation studies, characterization of crystallographic structures, prediction of drugability, and in silico screening of antiviral compounds. The fellowship aims to contribute to the project’s goals of identifying threats to public health and coordinating rapid responses.

Workplace: The fellowship will be at the Antiviral Resistance and Viral Pathogenesis Unit, in collaboration with the Genomic and Bioinformatics Unit of the Department of Infectious Diseases, INSA, Lisbon.

Duration: The fellowship is for 12 months, renewable under current legislation, with an expected start date in April 2024.
