Eligibility/Qualification:
Required:
- PhD degree
- C-level proficiency in Spanish and English
- Expertise in vascular plant taxonomy
- Documented research experience in Mexico
- Independent work capability and field team management skills
Preferred:
- PhD in Botany, Plant Ecology, Ecology and Evolution, Conservation Biology, or Microbial Genetics
- Experience with molecular approaches to taxonomy
- Expertise in bromeliads, orchids, and/or lichens taxonomy
Job Description:
- Conduct field research in tropical forests
- Apply molecular taxonomy methods
- Perform community ecological modeling
- Collaborate with international teams
- Supervise field volunteers
- Study ecosystem disturbance responses
- Work with both Mexican and Italian research teams
