Research Scientist/Postdoctoral Researcher: The Laboratory for Dynamic Biomolecule Design at the RIKEN Center for Integrative Medical Sciences is seeking a motivated Research Scientist or Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to groundbreaking research in biomolecular design, specifically focusing on membrane proteins and peptides.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Research Scientist: A doctoral degree awarded at least 3 years ago in a field related to the job description.
  • Postdoctoral Researcher: A doctoral degree awarded less than 3 years ago in a field related to the job description.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and collaboration skills.

  • Computational protein design
  • Structural modeling of biomolecules
  • Molecular dynamics simulations
  • Expression and purification of recombinant proteins
  • High-resolution structural analysis of biomolecules

Job Description

The successful candidate will be involved in:

  • Developing methods for designing biomolecules with controllable conformational dynamics.
  • Conducting computational protein design, molecular simulations, and experimental characterization of designed molecules.
  • Performing functional exploration through chemical modification of proteins and peptides.
  • Conducting high-resolution structural analysis.
