Location: IMDEA Nanociencia, Madrid, Spain and potential secondments to partner organizations

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or Engineering
  • Demonstrated research and technological achievements in materials science with a focus on energy applications, particularly in electrochemistry
  • Strong background in nanomagnetism and critical raw materials

Job Description:
The Research Scientist will be responsible for leading the development of a new generation of green 3D-printed SOFCs with enhanced efficiency through optimized geometries. This will involve combining advanced manufacturing techniques, such as inkjet and Fused Filament Fabrication, with the goal of achieving high-energy conversion efficiencies using alternative fuels. The successful candidate will also work on the fabrication of prototypes to demonstrate the functionality of the SOFCs, contributing to the EU Green Deal objectives.
