Job Description
The Research Specialist’s responsibilities include:
- Maintain Rodent Colonies (30%): Perform daily husbandry, breeding, and health monitoring.
- Conduct Laboratory Procedures (25%): Execute DNA/RNA extraction, western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and related assays.
- Behavioral Assays (25%): Perform behavioral assays, collect brain tissue samples, conduct fluorescence microscopy, and analyze data using Prism, ImageJ, and MATLAB.
- Lab Coordination (10%): Order supplies, track inventory, and reconcile purchases.
- Training (10%): Train and guide students and research fellows on established laboratory techniques.
