Job Description

The Research Stay Scholarship Program offers funding to cover travel and accommodation costs for short-term visits ranging from 2 to 4 months, with a maximum duration of 6 months for doctoral researchers. Recipients will engage in research collaboration with MPI experts and immerse themselves in the scientific community.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research in collaboration with MPI teams.
  • Participate in scientific discussions and seminars.
  • Contribute to ongoing projects during the stay.

Eligibility/Qualification

The scholarship is open to:

  • Doctoral students from foreign or German institutions (if not working under MPI directors)
  • Postdoctoral researchers from foreign research institutions
  • Professors and experienced scientists from international institutions

Rewards

Funding amounts based on the applicant’s academic status:

  • Doctoral Students: Up to €1,365/month
  • Postdoctoral Researchers: Up to €2,500/month
  • Professors and Experienced Scientists: Up to €3,000/month
    Note: In exceptional cases, higher grants may be awarded based on special circumstances.
