Eligibility/Qualification
- Completed Master’s degree in Plant Science, Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Evolution, or a related field.
- Strong interest in Plant Physiology, Evolution, and Photosynthesis.
- Excellent English language skills (fluent); German skills are beneficial but not required.
- Desirable experience in physiological, biochemical, or molecular lab methods, along with bioinformatic skills (e.g., R or Python programming).
- Reliability, helpfulness, and an independent way of working are preferred.
Description
The position involves developing and conducting research projects related to the evolution of photosynthetic traits, including managing and analyzing research data. The candidate will also publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, present research at conferences, and participate in teaching and supervising Bachelor and Master-level students. The work is conducted in a stimulating research environment within an international team located at the scenic Botanical Garden Munich-Nymphenburg.
