Eligibility/Qualification

  • Education: Doctorate (PhD)
  • Experience: Indifferent; however, experience in the functionalisation of inorganic or organic nanomaterials and/or nanoparticles is desirable.
  • Skills:
  • Ability to conduct independent research
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in cell biology is highly desirable.

Job Description

The researcher will be responsible for developing and characterizing macrophage-carbon nanotube hybrids aimed at targeted delivery of methotrexate (MTX) to treat rheumatoid arthritis. Key activities include:

  • Conjugation of MTX and a fluorophore onto carbon nanotubes (CNTs) via specific linkers.
  • Preparation and characterization of macrophage-CNT hybrids using various techniques (e.g., transmission electron microscopy, Western blot, confocal microscopy).
  • Contributing ideas for new research projects, compiling results for publication, and presenting findings.
