DESIGNATION: Researcher

RESEARCH AREA: Electrochemical energy storage (EES)

LOCATION: Europe, with the position based at CIC energiGUNE’s facilities.

ELIGIBILITY/QUALIFICATION:

  • PhD in Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in advanced characterization and analytical techniques.
  • Prior experience in battery research.
  • Strong English communication skills; Spanish or Basque proficiency beneficial.
  • Collaborative mindset and motivation for industry technology transfer.
  • Preferred knowledge of safety protocols.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Define and develop novel formulations for advanced electrode materials.
  • Scale up cathode material processing from lab to pilot line.
  • Produce pilot-scale cathode materials and perform characterization using various techniques.
  • Validate materials electrochemically.
  • Contribute to intellectual property development for industrialization.
