Eligibility/Qualification
Qualification Requirement | Details |
---|---|
Educational Background | PhD in medical sciences, biology, molecular biology, microbiology, environmental sciences, or related field. |
Experience | Several years of practical experience in wastewater analysis, including nucleic acid extractions and qPCR (preferably dPCR). |
Laboratory Experience | Experience in ISO-accredited laboratories (ISO 17025 or ISO 15189) and conducting biological risk assessments. |
Research Skills | Ability to independently plan, execute, and interpret experiments. |
Publications | Strong record of peer-reviewed publications in relevant areas. |
Technical Skills | Proficiency in R, GitHub, and related tools (e.g., Shiny apps). |
Collaboration Experience | Experience in working with stakeholders, including governmental agencies is a merit. |
Language Proficiency | Fluency in Swedish and English (spoken and written) |
Driving License Requirement | Category B driving license |
Description
The successful candidate will join the Swedish Environmental Epidemiology Center (SEEC) within the Division of Microbial Ecology. This role involves leading independent research and coordinating the processing, analysis, and presentation of pathogen surveillance data. The researcher will contribute to scientific publications and actively seek external funding to enhance research activities.
