Researcher (Postdoc I) – REFRESH Project: The University of Ostrava, Faculty of Arts, invites applications for three postdoctoral positions as part of the REFRESH project – Research Excellence For REgion Sustainability and High-tech Industries. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in solving complex research and development tasks, collaborate with research teams, publish actively, and secure research funding within the scope of the Refresh project.

Designation: Researcher (Postdoc I)

Research Area: History

Location: University of Ostrava, Czech Republic

Eligibility/Qualification:

• Education Level: PhD or equivalent in history or a related field.
• Research Field: History
• EU Research Level: R2 – Recognized
• Language: Fluent English (Level B2), knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
• Experience: PhD received in the last 5 years, with at least 4 publications in history or related fields (indexed in Web of Science), an H-index of at least 1 or Scholar 3, experience in grant projects, and international research stays.

Job Description:

• Collaborate in solving complex research tasks within the REFRESH project.
• Work with research teams at the University of Ostrava and partner universities.
• Active publishing in line with project requirements.
• Secure research funding through grant submissions and other opportunities.
• Full-time position (40 hours/week) starting from March 1st, 2024, or by agreement.
