SBBS Research Scholarships 2023: Applications are invited for the SBBS Research Scholarships 2023 for a structured Ph.D. project focusing on inhibiting oncogenic RAF and RAS signaling through disrupting protein-protein complexes. The project is led by Dr. Jens Rauch at Systems Biology Ireland, University College Dublin.

Research Area: Inhibition of oncogenic RAF and RAS signaling through disruption of protein-protein complexes

Location: Systems Biology Ireland, University College Dublin, Ireland

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • BSc or MSc in biomolecular, biomedical sciences, or pharmacology with First Honours.
  • EU/UK applicants only.
  • Experimental experience in molecular cell biology, biochemistry, or pharmacology using cancer cell line models.
  • Basic knowledge of drug development or Zebrafish models is advantageous.
  • Highly motivated individual with excellent communication, organizational skills, and ability to work independently in an interdisciplinary research environment.

Job Description:

  • In vitro characterization of chemical derivatives.
  • Cell-based characterization of lead compounds in human cancer.
  • In vivo testing of lead compounds using advanced Zebrafish models.
