Eligibility/Qualification
- Must hold a PhD conferred before the Fellowship start date (August/September 2026) and received after September 1, 2021.
- Open to candidates from any field, provided the proposed work aligns with the scientific domains listed above.
- Candidates may already have a postdoc position.
- Must not have held a tenure-track faculty appointment.
- Deep expertise in either AI methodologies or a domain science discipline, with demonstrated interest in the other.
- Must secure two U-M faculty members to serve as mentors.
Job Description
The Fellow will:
- Conduct transformative research at the intersection of AI and the selected scientific domain.
- Develop a research statement and individualized development plan outlining goals and qualifications.
- Participate actively in the MIDAS research community, attending meetings and engaging in programmatic activities.
- Allocate time for collaboration and professional development while maintaining responsible AI practices.
