Scholarship Description: CDT-D2AIR offers an innovative 4-year PhD program combining state-of-the-art training in robotics, machine learning, optimization, and software engineering with a focus on verification and testing. Situated within the Edinburgh Centre for Robotics, this joint degree program fosters interdisciplinary learning in emerging legal standards, sustainability, ethics, and inclusiveness, shaping a new generation of graduates poised to lead in dependable and deployable AI for robotics.
Eligibility: Applicants should hold an undergraduate degree at the UK 2:1 level or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Candidates from diverse backgrounds with a strong interest in robotics are encouraged to apply, provided they possess substantial exposure to computing or engineering concepts, quantitative methods, and programming experience. English proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6.5 (with no individual component less than 6.0) is required for non-native English speakers.
