Study Area This scholarship focuses on the interdisciplinary field of AI ethics and governance, exploring the ethical implications of AI technologies and their impact on society.

Scholarship Description As a PhD student in the Ethics of AI at LMU, you will be part of the junior research group led by Dr. Benjamin Lange. Our team conducts internationally respected basic research in AI ethics, fostering innovation and knowledge. You will contribute to responsible AI governance, explore the moral and political foundations of AI, and collaborate with top researchers in the field.

Eligibility To be considered for this scholarship, you should have:

  • A university degree (M.Sc./M.A, diploma, state examination) with outstanding grades in philosophy, law, computer science, sociology, or related fields.
  • A strong interest in AI ethics.
  • Motivation, personal responsibility, analytical thinking skills, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Proficiency in English, and ideally in German.
