Scientific Staff Position: The Chair of Zoology III (Ecological Station Fabrikschleichach) at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg seeks to fill a full-time Scientific Staff position, initially for a period of 3 years with the possibility of extension for up to an additional 3 years. Scientific Staff Position in Terrestrial Animal Ecology

Location: Fabrikschleichach, Würzburg, Germany
Eligibility/Qualification: Candidates should hold a scientific university degree in Ecology, Biology, with a particularly qualified Ph.D. in Ecology or Biology (with a zoological/ecological focus). Experience in terrestrial animal ecology and preferably in biodiversity and ecosystem function research is required. Candidates should demonstrate extensive international publication experience, excellent knowledge of ecological statistics, proficiency in R, and proficiency in both German and English. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for field research are necessary.
Job Description: The position involves a wide range of responsibilities, including supporting the Chair of Biodiversity of Temperate Regions, managing experimental research areas, analyzing and synthesizing data, developing and applying for projects, and contributing to teaching activities at the Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. levels. The position is aimed at fostering the qualification of early-career researchers and offers the opportunity for habilitation.
