About- Applications from Indian nationals are invited for the position of Scientist-C in the project entitled, “Health Technology Assessment in India”. The project is funded by HTAin, Department of Health Research, Government of India.
Research/Job Area- Microbiology/biotechnology/biochemistry/public health/health economics/health policy/health technology assessment/allied areas
Location- IIT Kanpur
Eligibility/Qualification–
PhD in microbiology/biotechnology/biochemistry/public health/health economics/health policy/health technology assessment/allied areas, with experience in quantitative data collection and analysis
OR
Master’s degree in microbiology/biotechnology/biochemistry/public health/health economics/health policy/health technology assessment/allied areas + 5 years of relevant experience
Relevant skills & experience
- Experience in the collection, handling and analysing health data
- Knowledge of health technology assessment
- A working knowledge of Indian health care systems

Duration of Appointment
- The post is purely temporary and is on contractual basis.
- The appointment for the post is initially for one year. Renewal of the appointment will be subjected to the performance of the candidate, and the project extension from the funder.
The department reserves the right to fix suitable criteria for short listing of eligible candidates satisfying qualifications and experience. Based on qualifications and experience, candidate may be considered for a lower position as well. The decision of the selection committee will be final. Short listed candidates will be informed with an email about the date of interview.
