Eligibility/Qualification
- Completed MSc degree or equivalent in biology, biochemistry, or a similar field.
- Strong interest in molecular genetics and plant biotechnology.
- Excellent knowledge of molecular and cell biology.
- Practical experience in molecular biological techniques.
- Practical experience in project-specific methods (e.g., molecular cloning, protoplast transfection, or phenotyping) is desirable.
- Excellent English language skills (written and spoken).
- Enthusiasm for application-oriented science, team spirit, and high intrinsic motivation.

Job Description
The position is part of the research project PRIME-ED, focusing on:
- Designing and producing vector modules for prime editing components (Cas9 and guide/prime RNA).
- Establishing and optimizing configurations for prime editing in barley.
- Developing use cases for trait improvement in barley.
- Conducting molecular cloning, 2-D modeling, protoplast transfection, stable barley transformation, and phenotyping.
- Preparing and presenting research results at seminars and conferences.
- Preparing research reports and publications.
The position provides the opportunity to pursue a doctorate.
