We are currently seeking a Senior Lecturer for a full-time, six-year position at the Institute for Machine Learning. The successful candidate will contribute to independent research, participate in cooperative research projects, and excel in the development, evaluation, and practical application of machine learning methods, particularly in deep learning. The role involves teaching courses, planning and supervising exams, and supporting students in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Doctorate/PhD degree or equivalent in machine learning or a closely related field (Computer Science with a strong focus on machine learning).
- Experience with university-level teaching.
- Publications and track record in machine learning, deep learning, mathematics, signal processing, computer vision, speech processing, or natural language processing.
- Strong background in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical inference.
- Experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
- Full command of German and English (German level C1, English level B2).
- Willingness and ability to work in a team and support students and young colleagues.
Job Description:
- Conduct independent research and participate in cooperative research projects.
- Develop, evaluate, and apply machine learning methods, especially deep learning, in areas such as computer vision, natural language processing, or autonomous driving.
- Publish scientific results in renowned international journals and conferences.
- Teach courses, plan and supervise exams, and support students at the Bachelor and Master levels.
- Prepare and update teaching materials and examination documents.
- Support the supervision of Bachelor and Master theses.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to teaching.
