Eligibility/Qualification
- Ph.D. in Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or a related field
- Strong knowledge and experience in aquatic cultivation systems, particularly with duckweed (Lemnaceae)
- Proven networking and communication skills
- Valid driving license (EU or Ireland)
- Ability to work independently and creatively
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Optimizing outdoor duckweed cultivation on wastewater produced by aquaculture activities.
- Developing and implementing a robust program of training and engagement activities for stakeholders.
- Contributing to the interdisciplinary bioeconomy project, focusing on the potential of duckweed as a sustainable plant protein source.
- Collaborating with a diverse team to achieve project objectives and disseminate findings.
Salary
- €44,847 – €51,313 per annum, IUA PD1
- €52,715 – €57,332 per annum, IUA PD2 (depending on qualification and experience)
