Eligibility/Qualification–

Minimum prescribed educational Qualifications/experience- PhD in Chemistry / Polymer Chemistry / Polymer Engineering / Plastics Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Materials Science or equivalent

Preference/Desirable Exp., if any– Familiarity with polymer processing methods such as extrusion, compounding, injection/compression molding, thermoforming, etc. and characterization methods for polymers like rheology, MFI, DSC, optical microscopy, TGA, GPC, mechanical testing, report writing and patent/literature searching.

Age limit*– 40 years

Job requirement– To independently plan and perform polymer processing, melt compounding, melt rheology,
thermal and mechanical characterization studies and to undertake experiments related to polymer formulation development for various polymer applications including plastic waste from PPE kits.

The engagement will be initially for a period of six months which may be extended or curtailed depending on the duration of the tenure of sponsored project/ satisfactory performance or conduct of the appointee, as the case may be. The engagement will be purely on temporary basis and shall not be CSIR/NCL appointment, temporary or otherwise and shall not entitle the appointee to any right/claim whatsoever, implicit or explicit, for his/her consideration against any CSIR/NCL post/fellowship.
