- Or Master’s Degree (MS) with 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2-4 years of progressive specialized post-doctoral experience.
Job Description
The Staff Scientist I will engage in research with significant scientific value in both basic and translational sciences. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting laboratory research focused on RNA splicing and pediatric brain tumors.
- Utilizing techniques such as morpholino knockdown, CRISPR/Cas9 editing, ribosome profiling (Ribo-seq), and drug screening.
- Collaborating with bioinformatics scientists to analyze splice isoforms and their impact on tumor biology.
- Training technical staff, students, and fellows in laboratory procedures.
- Assisting the principal investigator in writing grant applications and publications.
- Ensuring adherence to research protocols and maintaining data confidentiality.
