STEM Entrepreneurship Postdoctoral Fellow: Johns Hopkins University invites applications for the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Racial Revolutionary and Inclusive Guidance for Health Throughout STEM (R-RIGHTS) program. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team spanning institutions such as Johns Hopkins University, Tennessee State University, Hampton University, and Vanderbilt University. The role involves working on dismantling systemic racism and promoting equitable representation in STEM fields.

Designation: Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Research Area: Social Sciences, Education Research, Data Science/Computer Science, Computer Science, Education, Identity and Computing, Interdisciplinary Work related to Social or Biological Sciences, Social Sciences.

Location: Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore/DMV area, U.S. (Relocation required)

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Ph.D. with a completion date no later than January 2024 in Social Science, Education Research, Data Science Education, CS/Engineering/STEM Education, and related disciplines.
  • Experience in quantitative, qualitative, and/or mixed-methods research.
  • Prior experience in conducting education research or working on STEM education projects.
  • Alignment with the goals of R-RIGHTS.
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication.
  • Evidence of research experience in the mentioned areas, demonstrated by publications, works in progress, and/or presentations.
  • Current eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Relocation to Baltimore/DMV area is required. Anticipated travel 4-5 times per year.

Racial Justice in STEM Entrepreneurship Postdoctoral Research Fellow

The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will actively contribute to R-RIGHTS’ mission by engaging in research activities that address systemic racism and promote equitable representation in STEM. This includes quantitative, qualitative, and/or mixed-methods research, aligning with the goals of the program. The position requires relocation to the Baltimore/DMV area, with anticipated travel 4-5 times per year.
