Eligibility / Qualification
Applicants must:
- Be a citizen of a country eligible for the TaiwanICDF Scholarship
- Not be a national of the Republic of China (Taiwan)
- Meet admission requirements of the selected TaiwanICDF partner university
- Be eligible for a Taiwan Resident Visa (FS) and Alien Resident Certificate (ARC)
- Not hold any other Taiwan government-sponsored scholarship concurrently
- Have completed or be able to provide the highest-level diploma by July 31, 2026
- Have no prior scholarship revocation or expulsion record from Taiwanese institutions
Note: Bachelor’s programs are only open to applicants from countries with diplomatic relations with Taiwan.
Job Description / Scholarship Benefits
Selected scholars will receive a fully funded scholarship, including:
- Round-trip economy-class airfare
- On-campus student dormitory accommodation
- Full tuition and credit fees
- Mandatory insurance coverage
- Approved textbook costs
- Monthly living allowance:
- Bachelor’s: NT$15,000/month
- Master’s: NT$18,000/month
- Ph.D.: NT$20,000/month
Scholars are expected to pursue academic excellence and contribute to the development of their home countries after graduation.
How to Apply
- Complete the online application via the TaiwanICDF Scholarship Application System
- Apply separately to one selected program at a TaiwanICDF partner university
- Submit required documents to the ROC (Taiwan) Embassy/Representative Office if required
- Applications undergo first and second reviews by embassies and partner universities
- Final results are announced by TaiwanICDF, and acceptance letters are issued through embassies
