Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD in Material Science, Physics, or Chemical Engineering/Chemistry within the past 3 years.
  • Detailed understanding of modeling of bulk battery materials properties.
  • Experience in molecular dynamics at interfaces (electrolytes and electrochemistry).

Job Description

The successful candidate will engage in research involving:

  • Modeling and simulation of bulk battery materials, focusing on molecular dynamics at interfaces.
  • Utilizing knowledge of density functional theory and its applications in battery redox processes, SEI, and bulk electrolytes.
  • Applying machine learning techniques alongside classical or ab-initio molecular dynamics.

Professional Skills Required:

  • Strong team skills with the ability to manage and monitor multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Independent, quick learning, and adaptable mindset with a good work ethic.
  • Proficiency in oral, written, and graphical communication in English.

Methods & Toolset:

  • Knowledge of density functional theory.
  • Experience with Pymatgen and Pourbaix Diagrams, as well as ASE (Atomic Simulation Environment).
  • Proficiency in mid- to high-level Python programming.
