Eligibility / Qualification

  • Degree: MSc degree (or completed MSc by the contract start date) in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a closely related discipline.
  • Core Skills: Strong foundation in high-frequency electrical engineering or physics of electric/optoelectronic devices.
  • Advantageous Experience: Prior experience with semiconductor technology, nano/micro-fabrication, THz or high-frequency measurements, and electromagnetic simulations.
  • Soft Skills: Strong motivation to complete a PhD within the project duration, team player, advanced problem-solving abilities, and enthusiasm for research.
  • Language Requirements: Knowledge of German is not required.

Job Description

  • Conduct research focused on THz RTD oscillators and detectors.
  • Carry out research tasks within the domain of THz Electronics.
  • Write and publish scientific papers in top international conferences and journals.
  • Pursue and complete a PhD within the timeline of the research project.
